Northern Credit Union's 2011 Sault Ste. Marie Branch Annual Meeting.
Northern Credit Union Boot Camps
...so what if you don't win the lottery???
You'll need a plan B! At Northern, we've done a lot of work to help families get control of their money. We even wrote a book about it called "Northern Cents." Be sure to pick up your copy at the branch and also sign up for our next boot camp!
We've created a series of one-hour seminars called boot camps which deal with household finances, managing credit, savings and investing, insurance and wills.
Next boot camp date is: Tuesday, March 22nd, 2011 at the Second Line Branch.
Can't make that date and think maybe your employees might be interested too - just contact the branch and we can arrange to hold a boot camp right at your place of business...we aim to please and we're excited to share this valuable information. I will even attend schools, church groups, social clubs, etc.! Just give us a call!
Call the branch at 942-2333 and speak with Pam. If she isn't available to speak directly with you when you call - leave a detailed message in the general mailbox.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

First Annual SSM Silent Auction
Second Line and McNabb Street branches would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contribution to the Northern Credit Union's first annual Silent Auction. Through the effort of both SSM branches, our delegates and our corporate office, we were able to raise $5,000. to be used towards the purchase of a digital mammogram for the Sault Area Hospital. The success of the auction would not have been possible without your generosity! Thank you to those of you who donated an item(s) and thank you to those of you who bid on the items! Your kindness is greatly appreciated!

You will have a chance to win an IPOD - we will make the draw on June 14th, 2010. If you already are a member, don't be shy, refer a family member or friend! Check out our "Referral Program," see blow.

ADSB Knights of Alloy - NCU is one of the proud sponsors of this young group...
The Sault team, now in its 10th year of building competition robots, has just learned that it has been invited to attend this year’s World Robotics Championships, which will take place in St. Louis, Missouri at the end of April. Teams normally compete to earn invitations to this prestigious event through regional qualifying tournaments around the world, but the league also puts aside approximately 100 invitations for veteran teams, on a rotating basis. This year, as one of the eligible teams, the Sault team accepted and is now planning to attend this event, as well as the Waterloo Regional, at the University of Waterloo, in late March. This will be the forth trip to the World event for this team.
Comprised of students from the four local ADSB high schools, this team has spent the past two months training rookie manufacturing, programming, web-page and electronics students. They then waited to learn the nature of this year’s game task. This was revealed to approximately 2500 teams in 14 countries worldwide on Saturday, January 8th, 2011, via a NASA Simulcast.
Information about FIRST and the robotics competition can be found : Here
